Have you seen the ALPHA logo on posters and buses? Have you wondered
what ALPHA is about? Maybe you’ve wanted to find out more but didn’t
know who to approach.
ALPHA courses have been running in
Cathcart Trinity since 2004. These have been held at breakfast time,
lunch time and tea time – during the week and at weekends.
ALPHA is described as an opportunity
to find out about Jesus Christ and the Christian faith – to ask
questions and find answers. Each week consists of having
some food together, listening to a talk on different topics such as
“Who is Jesus?”
“Why should we pray?”
“ Why should we read the bible?”
“How does God guide us?”
followed by time spent discussing opinions, asking questions, and sharing
our thoughts in informal small groups.
If you feel this is for you, you’d be made very welcome at
the next ALPHA course. This will take place over 9 Wednesdays (7pm - 9pm) starting on Wednesday 19th September.
If you would like to come along to ALPHA, it would help our planning
if you could let us know beforehand by contacting Rev Wilma
Pearson (Tel 632 2491 or email Fiona
(There will be a space for you even if you haven’t let us know in
advance!)
You might also want to look at the UK
Alpha website for more information.
