Prayer focus: June 08

How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure, that He should give His only Son, to make a wretch His treasure.

Our loving Father, we thank you for the love which you have for us. It touches every part of our being. May we be open to that love today and tomorrow….

We pray for those who need the reassurance of your love:

• may those recovering from injury or illness feel the warmth and support of your love;
• may people waiting to go into hospital or to have treatment sense your love upholding them with peace and calm.

We bring their names before you in the sure knowledge that you love them dearly.

How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure, that He should give His only Son, to make a wretch His treasure.  

Our loving Father, we thank you for Jesus. We thank you that we are a treasure for you because of Him. We hardly feel worthy!

We pray for those who need to know Jesus:

• may those who are carrying a heavy burden know that they can rest in Him;
• may those who need forgiveness know that they can receive it in His name.

We bring their names before you in the knowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ wants to be their Saviour!

As we pray for others, we pray for ourselves: over the summer period, may we reflect your love to those we meet; may we walk our journey with Jesus by our side.
