What's On Friday?

TOY-GO-ROUND TOY LIBRARY

The Toy Library runs in the Large Hall every Friday morning, from 3 September to 10 December 2007 and from 18 January to 6 June 2008, from 9.30 - 11am. The group is for children from 0 to 5 years to play with each other and for parents and carers to enjoy tea and coffee together.

FRIDAY MORNING BADMINTON

This club meets in the Kent Hall between 10.00am and 12.00 noon from Friday 7 September to 14 December 2007 and from 11 January to 25 April 2008.

BOYS BRIGADE

85th Glasgow Company (1st Cathcart) founded 1894

The object of the Boys’ Brigade is ‘The advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys, and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness’.

ANCHOR BOYS

The Anchor Boys are the youngest members of the Boys’ Brigade.

Boys are eligible to join if they are in Primaries 1, 2 or 3. On completing Primary 3 they are promoted to the Junior Section. The Anchor Boys meet in the Kent Hall from 6.30pm to 7.30 pm.

BOYS’ BRIGADE JUNIOR SECTION

Boys are eligible to join if they are in Primaries 4, 5 or 6. On completing Primary 6 they are promoted to the Company Section.

The Junior Section meets in the Large Hall .

COMPANY SECTION

The Company Section meets on Friday evenings in the Large Hall from 7.30 to 10.00 pm. Boys are eligible to join if they are in Primary 7 or in Secondary School.

The session for all sections runs from 7 September to 14 December 2007 and from 11 January to 9 May 2008. There are no meetings on school or public holidays.
