What's On Thursday?

ART & CRAFT CLUB

The club meets in the Buchanan Hall on Thursday mornings from 10am - 12 noon, from 9 September to 13 December 2007 and from 10 January to 26 June 2008. Bring your paints and brushes, pastels and sketch pads, embroidery etc and pursue your hobby. As space is limited please contact the webeditor if you'd like to come along.

The annual Arts and Crafts coffee morning will be held in the sanctuary on Saturday 8 March 2008. All are welcome for tea, coffee, home baking and a chance to browse some of the exquisite hand made crafts.

Thursday Worship

A soup and sandwich lunch is available every Thursday from 12 midday to 12.40pm followed by a service of worship from 12.45pm to 1.15pm.

Elbee Stompers

The Line Dancing Group meets in the Kent Hall between 10.00 am and noon from Thursday 6 September to 13 December 2007 and between 10 January and 26 June 2008. No classes run during the October week or during Holy Week. All classes are under the guidance of a trained teacher.

46th A Brownie pack

The Brownies meet in the Kent Hall from 6.30 – 8.00 pm on Thursday evenings. Girls aged 7-10 years are invited to join. Please contact the leader in the first instance to ensure there is a place available.

The Brownies follow a programme of activities based on “The Brownie Adventure”. These include games, songs, crafts, badgework, quizzes and much more.

Chatterbox

The group meets in the Youth Room on the first Thursday of each month from September to June from 7.30 – 9.00 pm (apart from January 2008 when the meeting is on the 11 th).

We all lead such busy lives that often we have little time to talk with one another. Chatterbox provides the opportunity for any lady of any age to take some time out over coffee and enjoy Christian fellowship.

CHOIR

Do you enjoy singing? Would you like to be involved in playing or singing in worship? If you would like to be part of the choir that provides the music for our traditional Sunday morning worship then come along to the rehearsals in the Buchanan Hall on Thursday evenings.

Between 13 September and 6 December 2007 and between 10 January and 26 June 2008, the choir rehearse from 7.30 – 8.30pm under the direction of our praise leader Jaan Martindale. New members are very welcome.

THURSDAY BADMINTON CLUB

The Badminton Club meets on Thursday evenings from 8.00 - 10.30 pm in the Kent and Large Halls starting on 6 September until 20 December 2007 and from 10 January until 26 June 2008.

CATHCART M.E. SUPPORT GROUP

This informal group meets in the Buchanan Hall from 7.30 to 9.00 pm on the last Thursday of each month (except December). The group provides assistance and support to fellow sufferers and carers of ME/CFS by offering friendship, a listening ear, advice, literature and signposting to other agencies through contact both locally and nationwide.
